Playlist: CoolTunes
Long time reader, frequent commenter, and guest blogger Chris suggested I post a playlist... well, Chris, be careful what you ask for, cause you might get it!!
This is my yet to be completed CoolTunes playlist...
- Ready Steady Go - Generation X
- Mutt - Blink 182
- Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind
- F.N.T - Semisonic
- When I Leave You - Magna-Fi
- TV Killed Me - Magna-Fi
- Every Monday - Marvelous 3
- Supernatural Blone - Marvelous 3
- Hit and Run Holiday - My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult
- Always: Your Way - My Vitriol
- The Gentle Art of Choking - My Vitriol
- Fallen Souls - Ours
- Miseryhead - Ours
- Desire (Come And Get It) - Gene Loves Jezebel
Oddly enough, 'Desire' is on EVERY single playlist I've created. Goes to show how much I love that song.
Marvelous 3 is band that I've never mentioned before, but if you ever get a chance to check them out, do it. They are fantastic.
The general theme of this playlist is pretty upbeat, despite the titles of some of the songs. This is the whole playlist as it exists on my iPod, I've been meaning to go back and add stuff and change the order of the songs, perhaps I'll do that today...
Jon,
as I hadn't got around to posting this before, this seems like a great place to post it. But as you've already seen it before and as I was going through some cds that I hadn't listened to in a while yesterday, I'll try and do you a new one tonight and share it tomorrow.

OOOPs, forget to say something...
Don't actually know most of the groups in your list; it looks pretty alternative rock-ish. Are they all American (can't remember if Gene Loves Jezebel were or not)?

Chris, you reminded me that I still have to pick up that Salt & Pepa CD... ah, what a great song. As I mentioned before, I haven't heard of many of those... now if there was just a way that we could share playlists - I'm sure it would result in some sales for the record companies somwhere along the line...
You know, I don't recall where GLG is from... a quick check with the musical expert in the house (the Mrs.) gets the following reply - "London, I think."
I'll take her word for it. ;-)
We lucked out a couple of years ago, they actually came to this area - we were 2 of about 20 people in the entire room and they put on an AMAZING show. It was great!!
Another great band that the wife turned me on to, I'll have to listen to her more often.
Jon
